A handy tool

I recently started listening to cliff notes of self help books. They are condensed into 15 to 20 minute audios of various topics, including self help, self talk, finance and personal budget, and how to succeed with work and your own business. The app I use is called Headway.

It has a subscription on a quarterly basis and you can also pay annually or monthly. When I go on walks with my dog, I’ll listen to two, sometimes three, condensed books that I find interesting. The app has an option to listen to the audio of the summary version and it also has an option to read it. I find listening to non fiction books easier for me to ingest and consider.

I was hoping that they had a gift option, I think my brother would like this. It has a “team” option but the minimum is 5 licenses. Maybe I’ll just mention it to him and see if he likes it.

Once a week or even every other week, I’ve gone into the app to peruse the books available to read and add them to the Library so that when I’m ready to listen, I can randomly pick one from my interests and listen to it. There have been a couple book summaries that I’ve listened to twice, and there is also an option to link to purchase the entire book, but I have not used that option…yet.

I hope this habit sticks and I end up finding a book, or several, that I can implement and start using in daily life. The short synapses of the books I’ve picked seems like its not enough to get me into action, but I am hopeful.
